Why I Ride! For the Kids!
Stuart Fern
This summer, I am once again taking on the incredible challenge of Bike4Chai, a two-day cycling journey that pushes me to my limits—all for the sake of children who are facing unimaginable hardships. Chai Lifeline provides crucial support to thousands of families dealing with serious illness, and its impact is most powerfully felt at Camp Simcha, a medically-supervised summer haven where kids battling life-threatening conditions can experience the joy and magic of childhood. Seeing the resilience of these kids firsthand last year left a lasting impression on me, and I knew I had to do more.
Now, as a father of two beautiful little girls, I understand even more deeply the importance of a strong, compassionate community. Raising a child takes a village, and when a child is fighting a life-altering illness, that village must extend beyond family—it must include all of us. Through counseling, financial assistance, hospital support, and life-changing programs like Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline ensures that no child or family faces their battle alone. Every mile I ride is dedicated to these brave children, but I need your help to make the greatest impact.
This year, my goal is to raise $18,000, a significant leap from the $13,500 we raised together last year. Every dollar goes directly toward services that bring light to families navigating the darkest times. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, but more importantly, it is life-changing. It means a child gets to laugh, play, and make friends at camp. It means parents receive the support they need to keep going. It means hope.
I can’t do this alone—I need your help. Please join me in making a difference. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference in the lives of these children and their families ensuring these children experience the joy and support they deserve. Click the donate button now, and together, let's help these kids ride through their toughest battles with strength, love, and an entire community behind them.
Thank you for your support!
Stuart :-)
